PTLLS and 1886 courses now being held in Chesterfield, Derbyshire

Our PTLLS (Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector) courses are being held regularly at our Chesterfield centre, along with our other teacher training courses including the 2886 Conflict Management Trainers Certificate course.

All teachers starting to work in the sector since 1 September 2007 must achieve the Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS) award within one year of appointment (and many employers consider PTLLS the minimum for any new teachers before they join) . Following PTLLS they can continue on to a CTLLS.

ITT Teacher training reforms

Legislation introduced in September 2007 reformed training, qualifications and continuing professional development (CPD) for teachers in the Further Education sector (colleges, adult education etc.)  in England.

College PTLLS course

PTLLS courses at colleges such as Carlton Training are to give teachers, trainers and instructors or those wishing to teach in the adult education sector, colleges and workplaces, a recognised, good quality qualification that will¬† show that they have the required skills to carry out training and assess their learners’ progress during that training.
