Compulsory multiple choice exam questions

There are currently no compulsory questions in any of the multiple choice examinations that we at Carlton Training are offering, i.e. no questions appear which must be answered correctly in order to pass.  Instead candidates must answer a minimum number of questions overall to pass ( for example 28 correct out of 40)


Can I do an NCPLH – (now APLH) mock exam ?

We do not often run mock exams however if you come on the APLH (Award for Personal Licence Holders) course then your instructor will take you through everything you need to know to pass the exam.  The exam format is multiple choice with a pass mark of 70%.


Distance learning

We occasionally get asked if we offer courses such as PTLLS / City and Guilds 6302 via distance learning – where candidates learn at home via self-study.


Do I need an alcohol licence ?

Not if you are drinking the stuff ! But if you are selling alcohol then you will probably need a Personal Licence which you can apply for when qualified (go on the APLH course) or at least to be authorised to sell by a Personal Licence holder. Note – you place of work will also neeed a another type of alcohol licence – a Premises Licence.  See next week’s post for details.
