ADVANCED FOOD SAFETY - Level 4

(5-day course)
Who
should attend?
The Level 4 (Advanced) Food
Hygiene certificate is designed
for those who have
responsibility for food hygiene
issues. This includes catering
managers, head chefs, production
managers and supervisors in food
businesses.
It is also an appropriate
qualification for those wishing
to teach basic RSPH and CIEH
Level 2 Food Safety courses. See

details. This qualification can
be used in conjunction with an
appropriate training
qualification (e.g. PTLLS or the
CIEH Trainers Certificate) basic
Food Safety and other associated
courses.
To gain this the
qualification, candidates for
are assessed by a 2 hour
examination set by the Royal
Institute of Public Health.
Successful candidates will be
able to :
- manage food safety in
most food businesses
- develop auditing and
monitoring programmes
- establish and monitor
food safety management
procedures
- liaise with enforcement
officers
- deal with staff training
- interpret legal
requirements
- establish hazard
analysis systems
- ensure food safety
management conforms to legal
requirements
