Paediatric First Aid - Emergency First Aid

HSE (Health and Safety Executive) regulations mean that all employers make provision for first aid in the work place. This includes all types of schools and nurseries, after school clubs and Pupil Referal Units (PRUs)

Schools need to ensure that first aid is available at all times for people on school premises and off premises during school visits and trips.

Schools also need to provide suitable training for first aiders who might be treating pupils, fellow staff or visitors to the school. First aid treatment might range from dealing with a simple trip or fall to dealing with major life threatening emergencies, so getting proper training is vital.

In addition to this there are separate requirements for those working the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) and who come under Ofsted inspection.
