• Ensure that all participants are physically fit and able to safely take part in the physical intervention skills being taught.
• Teach an observed Physical Intervention lesson

You will be taught how to explain the factors that are vital to the effective and safe delivering of physical intervention skills.  You will also be made aware of the potential consequences of deviating from the approved physical intervention programme or SIA Physical Intervention syllabus.  In addition, the physical intervention trainer must be able to manage candidates' behaviour to ensure a safe and effective learning environment as well as identify and manage barriers to learning.
