About the PTLLS (Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector) Course.

The duration of this combined course is eight days and this includes PTLLS (Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector) 2886 (Conflict Management Trainers Award) and Deliverers of Physical Intervention Training in the Private Security Industry.

This gives you a great start since once you have completed this course you will have all the teaching qualifications needed to go out and start teaching the SIA recognised security courses, including Door Supervisor.

A pre-course learning pack is sent prior to the start of the course. We advise candidates to study this in advance

In order to comply with health and safety as well as insurance requirements associated with the delivery of Level 3 Award for Deliverers of Physical Intervention Training in the Private Security Industry, the maximum student to trainer ratio is 1: 12 This low ratio ensures you will get the individual attention you need to complete this Physical Intervention train the trainer course.

We can also deliver this course for a group at your workplace at a cost of £6900.00 inc VAT for up to 6 candidates. Course materials, certification and examination are all included in the price.

You will be taught how to explain the factors that are vital to the effective and safe delivering of conflict management skills, physical intervention skills and general teaching in front of a class. 

You will also be made aware of the potential consequences of deviating from the approved physical intervention programme or SIA Physical Intervention syllabus.  In addition, the physical intervention trainer must be able to manage candidates' behaviour to ensure a safe and effective learning environment as well as identify and manage barriers to learning.
