Level 3 Effective Coaching Module Overview
Our Level 3 Award in Effective Coaching is made up of three units, which combine coaching theory with practical application.
Unit 300: Understanding Good Practice in Coaching within an Organisational Context (3 credits)
Discover how coaching fits into today’s workplace and why it’s becoming essential for team development. You’ll learn fundamental coaching skills, including how to set meaningful goals with your coachees and establish clear boundaries in your coaching relationships.
Unit 301: Undertaking Coaching within an Organisation Context (4 credits)
Learn how to structure coaching sessions that achieve real results, from preparation through to follow-up. You’ll practice applying popular coaching frameworks that help guide productive conversations.
Unit 303: Reflecting on Coaching Skills within an Organisational Context (3 credits)
In this unit, you will develop the self-awareness needed to continuously improve your coaching approach and recognise your strengths and areas for growth. You’ll learn methods to measure the impact of your coaching and gather meaningful feedback from those you coach. This reflective unit helps you build a personalised coaching toolkit that works with your natural style and the specific needs of your workplace.
Assessment Requirements
To achieve the Level 3 Award in Effective Coaching, you will need to successfully complete:
- Written assignments demonstrating your understanding of coaching principles
- A coaching diary documenting a minimum of 6 hours of coaching practice.
- Personal development planning
- Practical coaching observations
- Reflective evaluation of your coaching practice
What are the entry requirements for this course?
While there are no formal entry requirements, you should:
- Have good written and verbal communication skills.
- Be in a position to practise coaching.
- Have access to people you can coach during the programme.
