With decades of experience teaching in the Adult Education sector, and having spent a lifetime gaining knowledge Maureen is Carlton Training’s walking, talking database of information on Food Safety, Licensing and First Aid.
A strong advocate of the classroom as the place to learn and as keen as ever to see candidates succeed and qualify, Maureen will always go that extra mile to ensure that people achieve their aims. Very often this means dealing with potential students when they are working out their options and helping point them in the right direction. ‘It’s all just a part of the service’ says Maureen.
With over 12 years of training experience Bob teaches all the First Aid Courses, Manual Handling, Fire Safety, Health & Safety, Food Hygiene and Physical Intervention.
Bob entered the world of training initially through part-time staff training at his place of work and then graduated into full-time training specialising in the field of Health & safety. Training is a passion for Bob – he enjoys the different types of people that come to different courses and meeting their often very diverse needs. Only the classroom gives this experience – as Bob says ‘Can an online course be enthusiastic about its subject – can it respond to people different training needs? I think we all know the answer’.
Philip is one of Carlton’s most experienced trainers. Philip teaches all the First Aid courses plus Fire Safety, Food Hygiene and Conflict Management.
Like everyone at Carlton Philip loves training and the dynamic only a classroom environment can provide. In the last 20 years, Philip has seen the industry changes from one where people were ‘sent on training’ to one where people seek training for their personal development needs.
All this adds up to the type of teaching environment to bring out the best from everyone. Just what Philip enjoys most.
